Greetings friends and welcome to this week’s blog. If a picture is worth 1,000 words then this picture should cover our SEO length just fine! Just kidding, but Matt sent me this picture and said “Sometimes we get so caught up in the work that we miss the little things.” Then this tree frog on a steel gate got my mind to thinking.
In a world where camels, petting zoos, lions and tigers are pretty much our norm, taking a moment to appreciate this little frog is refreshing. Then you think about how valuable a frog actually is. It helps control insect populations while providing a robust food source for other animals up the food chain. It’s place albeit small is invaluable.
The gray tree frog actually changes its color to blend in with its environment. Their colors can range from green to gray to brown. They are 1 to 2 inches in length. They live on a diet of mites, spiders, lice, snails and slugs, you know all of the things that go into a witches spell =).
Tree Frogs Not The Only Small Heroes
I am reminded of the story about the mouse that removed the thorn from the lion’s paw. Big things can come in small packages. When we do an animal keeper presentation the little hedgehog that we can hold in our hands are just as entertaining and informative as a big sloth.
