Greetings friends and welcome to this week’s blog post. We have a vast array of animals available. Bringing petting areas and rides to your establishment or festival is one great way to add an exotic accent to your experience. One animal we have available is the sheep. Let’s look at some fun facts about our little furry friends.

Did you know that there are over 1 billion sheep in the world? Sheep, like our pygmy goats have rectangular pupils. These give the sheep over 300 degrees of vision allowing them to virtually see what’s behind them. If they could drive they really wouldn’t need mirrors.  A group of sheep is known as a herd, a flock, or even a mob.

Sheep Are Presidential

In the United States of America multiple presidents raised sheep. The likes of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison all had flocks of sheep. I think that was really the way those times were. Fundamentally you wouldn’t have bought or traded for wool if you could grow it and shear it yourself. In World War One Woodrow Wilson used them to eat the White House lawn to show solidarity in cost savings for the war effort. That way they wouldn’t have to use lawnmowers.

When you bring CTC Animal Rides to your event or facility you get generations worth of professional animal handling experience and knowledge. We regularly provide animals and presentations at events all over the United States. Give us a call and let’s talk about how we can turn your event into an adventure. Talk with you all next week.
