There are only a few job titles that you can think of when a person can be on the clock 24 hours a day. Firefighters do 24 hour shifts. Doctors are on call in case of emergencies too. You don’t think of professional animal handlers as being on call 24/7 but guess what, we are.
Remember when you were a kid and wanted your very own first pet? Then do you remember how much work you were told it was going to be before you got one? I mean a pet is a very large responsibility. I see a lot of young adults with cats and dogs in lieu of having kids young.
Now amplify that by a couple hundred of animals. I mean we’re pushing 45 head of camel or so at this point. Camels are relatively low maintenance but the still have a wide array of needs. From immunizations to exercise, seven days a week we have to attend to our critters.
Before Being On Call
Sheep need shearing, camels need walking. You take your dog out for a walk in the morning right? Well a camel needs just as much attention to maintain a healthy disposition. Fact of the matter is, all of our animals at CTC Animal Rides require a significant amount of attention for their general well being.
So yep we’re on call seven days a week 365 days a year for the care of our animals. Want more information on how you can get CTC Animal Rides at your function or establishment, drop us a line and let’s discuss your needs. Talk with you all next week!
